Although French house duo Daft Punk do not have a new album out, they will be playing select dates and cities this summer across North America.
To appease their fan base, who have not heard new material since the group’s third studio album, Human After All (2005), Daft Punk have at least nine dates scheduled for July and August of this year in both the U.S. and Canada, including Lollapalooza in Chicago.
Perhaps best known for their song, “One More Time”, which was a single off their sophomore disc, Discovery from 2001, Daft Punk are sometimes considered one of the most successful electronic musical acts in history – both by critics and album sales alike. They have helped to make the rest of the world aware of the European house movement, especially fellow French artists such as Air, Cassius and Dimitri From Paris.
