Biking is fast becoming the transportation of choice in environmentally aware European cities. Take Paris, for instance. As of today, the French capital is expected to have more than 10,000 bikes for rent at 750 stations around the city, to give tourists and residents an opportunity to feel environmentally chaste, and give them a fun, fast way to explore.

Touring quilt exhibit features native artists
“Native Threads,” a touring quilt exhibit showcasing the native artistry of Kansas American Indian quilters, will be presented in six venues statewide, the Kansas Arts Commission has announced.

“Key Ingredients: American by Food, ” a 500-year history of the development of food in America, explores the procurement, preparation and preparation of what we eat.
Put together by the Smithsonian Institute, this traveling exhibit is on display at the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center through Aug. 4.
